Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rajkiya Balika Mahavidyalay, Sewapuri was established in August 2001. The people of this neighboring locations of Varanasi over the decade have been clamoring for the establishment of women’s college which came into being with their continuous effort, supported by then State Home Minister of U.P. Mr. Rangnath Mishra, since then it has been a boon for the young aspirant Girls for seeking higher education and empowering themselves for their life chances.
The college has a pride history of education over 5000 students till date while witnessing scholarly services of five Principals and Fourteen faculty members in different disciplines. Its reputation and distinct identity is well established and in the year 2014, the college was accredited with ‘B’ Grad by NAAC that itself shows its evolutionary character. In the recent past it has been granted PG in two disciplines and it is expanding qualitatively while retaining its quality and standard in the whole region.
In a circumference of more than 50 km, this institution is well known and recognized to provide as much as possible quality education to women aiming at their multifaceted personality development in a women friendly and conclusive environment of healthy student- teacher relationship in order to make them competent enough to overcome each ‘n’ every sort of challenges in the life to come.
